Dawn Brewer is a management coach who founded upd8 in 1997 and works as a management coach, using coaching, consultancy and training to deliver results for clients.
Working with managers to improve performance, Dawn enjoys seeing individuals become more effective and efficient - and watching that benefit the whole organisation. Her unique combination of skills and experience are available for all clients and their organisations:
Business knowledge - starting her own business in 1997, Dawn has worked as a consultant for many years. As well as first hand knowledge and experience of her own business she has worked with clients from many backgrounds, including retail, IT, telecoms, digital TV, public sector and finance - from small businesses to blue chip organisations..
Consultancy and coaching expertise - works with private clients to improve personal management skills and within organisations to improve delivery through better management. Dawn has an MBA, consolidating her many years as a line manager in IT and has considerable experience as a Project Manager and a Consultant. Dawn is a full Member of the Association for Project Management (MAPM) as well as a Certificated Project Manager (CPM) recognising competence and ability to effectively manage significant programmes of change. She is also a qualified coach with a Diploma in Coaching Practice.
Training Professional - an Open University lecturer on management and computing courses, a management instructor with Learning Tree International, and occasionally runs her own seminars and courses. Dawn is also qualified with a Certificate in Education (Post Compulsory).
IT professional - a wide-ranging IT background (from junior programmer to senior management, permanent and contract, small organisations and large, line and project management, customer and supplier. Dawn truly understands the challenges and frustrations both within IT and by users of IT. Dawn is a full Member of the British Computer Society and chartered IT professional (MBCS CITP).
